About the Author
Caroline Olsen was born and raised in Trondheim, Norway.
Books have always played a major part in her life, with weekly trips to the library being the highlight of the week. Before she knew how to write, she was making up stories. And from learning to write, the road was short towards putting those stories down on paper. She’s been writing since. What started out as writing for fun grew into a dream of one day becoming an author.
Growing up to become fascinated by Asian pop-culture, she found her niche in the genre known as BoyLove. But she also wanted to take that genre and put her own mark on it by developing her own style which mixed BL with a more mainstream form of gay fiction.
In early 2010 she made her debut with the novel “SNOW”, the first of what was to be known as the “JadedSNOW-project”, a story which first saw its early beginning in winter 2006. In 2012, the sequel “Jaded” was finally ready to see the light of day, with a release set for the end of the year. Both novels are independently published, after having defeated a grueling paper mill, determined to reach her goal, taking the matters into her own hands.
At present, she is working on a new side-project, and hopefully there will be many more to come in the future.
As an author she aspires to not only entertain, but also to a certain extent educate and perhaps make a difference by placing light on subjects such as discrimination, bullying and anxiety. While BL is known for its easygoing genre-traits, her writing also carries a certain amount of seriousness.
In addition to being an advocate for LGBTQ-issues, she is also an avid fighter for animal rights, and against animal cruelty.
Aside from writing her hobbies include cosplaying, reading, watching movies, and fangirling.
